Nick因为抢劫被判刑，在狱中他得知自己的妻子自杀，两个女儿被送到孤儿院。为求与女儿团聚，他愿意与警方合作，成为警察的线人。获得假释后，他有意接近杀手Udo，获取他犯罪的资料，不料Udo在审判后被释放，使Nick和家人陷入危险境地。
